The online casino industry was very surprised by the announcement of resignation by two board members of the online casino provider group, Party Gaming. Party Gaming online casino technology provider announced that Anurag Dikshit, the company's operations director and technology guru, would step down from the board to focus on the development of new products and platforms as head of research and special projects. A spokesman for the online casino technology group said that because Dikshit is so absorbed in his work as technology developer, that they want him to focus on only developing new products and platforms. The online casino technology group said that all their technology is proprietary and most of it is from Dikshit.
In another surprise announcement, Vikrant Bhargava (35) the marketing director, will also step down from the board of the online casino technology group. Unlike Dikshit, Bhargava will leave the company at the end of the year to pursue other, unspecified interests, and it is unsure if they are in the online casino industry or not. The online casino technology provider group said that it has started looking for a replacement both internally and externally, but they hope to retain Bhargava on in advisory capacity after he leaves.
Dikshit holds 31% of Party Gaming’s stock and Bhargava holds 8.6% of the online casino company’s stock. The two made hundreds of millions in profits when Party Gaming, one of the biggest online casino companies listed itself on the London Stock Exchange last year.
