Four months to the day after joining Poker.com, the home of online poker, Sheila Chandler (32), known as 'MsRounders', a pharmacy manager from Jacksonville Florida has made Poker World Series of Poker history, as the first woman to win her way to the Main Event. "We have a growing base of female players at Poker. Just as we've seen in live tournaments across the globe, more and more women are getting involved and making a difference."
Paul Cherry, Poker Tournament Director. After playing poker mostly on trips to Vegas for the last 6 years, 'MsRounders' took up online poker a couple of years ago, mostly playing low buy in tournament games. She joins a growing number of women taking a greater interest in tournament poker. "Sheila may be the first woman we are sending, but she will not be the last. We are also sending several women to the special WSOP Ladies tournament. We have received nothing but praise and support from our 'Girl's Club' who already play countless ladies only events on Poker" Paul Cherry, Poker Tournament Director. Not only has MsRounders won the opportunity to rub shoulders with the world's best players, but she has managed to achieve this chance of a lifetime for the total cost of $1.
